Run safely with 100% contactless deliveries

Protect yourself and your customers with these Doorstep Delivery tips

--

With the closure of restaurant dining rooms and bars across the state, Texans are relying on delivery now more than ever.

In an effort to ensure we’re operating as safely as possible during this time, we have made the decision to move to 100% Doorstep Deliveries. Starting today, all Favors will be dropped off at the customer’s door to provide a completely contactless experience.

Here are some tips to help your Doorstep Deliveries go as smoothly as possible:

Deliver to the correct door

Customers will expect items to be delivered directly to their door, unless they indicate an alternate location. If you are delivering to an apartment or office building, it is best not to leave items with the front office or outside the main doors.

Communicate with the customer

As we work to update everyone on this new process, we highly recommend texting your customers to let them know they will be receiving their order via Doorstep Delivery. For example:

Hi, CUSTOMER_NAME! 👋In an effort to practice social distancing, I’ll be leaving items at your door today. I will text you once I have delivered your items. Thanks!

Remember that customers will be looking for you to text them a picture of their deliveries when you drop them off.

Hi CUSTOMER_NAME! 👋 Sorry we didn’t get to meet this time! I just dropped off your Favor at the front door. Enjoy!

Verify IDs in the app for 21+ orders

To limit exposure and help you deliver alcohol and tobacco Favors safely, you can now verify your customer’s ID remotely through the Runner app. Learn more about contactless alcohol delivery here.
