Runners of Favor: Day-in-the-life with Robert

Ride along with the first Runner to reach 20K Favors

Welcome to the tenth installment of #RunnersofFavor, our video series that features an inside look at our Runner community!

This episode highlights Robert, an Austin Runner who recently hit a huge milestone: Since he started running in 2018, he’s delivered more than 20,000 Favors!

Known as “Run Robert Run” in his local Favor Runner Facebook Group, Robert delivered his 20,000th Favor (a cheeseburger and a shake) in May 2021. But he hasn’t stopped there — to date, he has more than 22,000 Favors under his belt!

“I was a Favor customer long before I was a Runner. I always said to myself, ‘This would be a neat thing to do.’ You can wake up and have an amazingly cool day . . . because most days you’re actually helping somebody do something. There was a blind woman [who] told me when I delivered to her, ‘I don’t know what I would do without you.’”

Robert credits a consistent routine for his success. Every day, he hits the road at 6 a.m. and runs until 2 or 3 p.m., then takes a break before coming back to run during the dinner rush.

“If you focus on the routine, it’s almost stress free. I’ve never had a day where I woke up and said, ‘I don’t want to run.’”
