Updates, tips, and tricks for batched H-E-B home delivery orders

As you prepare for the batched H-E-B home delivery pilot programs, take a look at the upcoming app changes, pay breakdown, and tips from expert Runners. As a reminder, a batched H-E-B home delivery order is when you are assigned multiple Favors from the same store at the same time. To be eligible to receive batched orders, you must verify that you have at least 4 insulated bags or coolers.

Batched order acceptance screens

The batched order user experience can help you be more efficient when delivering H-E-B home delivery orders! You will see the information about both orders in a batch on a single acceptance screen, which will feature 2 X H-E-B and the BATCH and INSULATION icons.

When you accept a batch, the app will automatically show you the most efficient drop-off route. We strongly recommend dropping off the orders in the sequence shown in the app!

Batched base pay and tips

As we work to increase the number of batched orders in your area this year, you’ll find all the information you need to quickly accept them, all in one place. For batched H-E-B home delivery orders in this pilot program, you will receive two tips (Favor and H-E-B require a $5 minimum per delivery), plus one batched base pay and any applicable promos. You can see your estimated earnings, estimated total time, and total distance below the ACCEPT button.

Promos and batched orders

You can still take advantage of promos (including neighborhood bonuses!) while delivering batched H-E-B home delivery Favors. When you accept a batch, each completed delivery will count toward most active promos — just like they do today! For neighborhood bonuses, you will receive one bonus instead of two individual bonuses on batched orders.

Tips for batches

Our expert Runners shared the following tips to help you make the most of batched H-E-B home deliveries:

• Consider food quality. To ensure food quality, H-E-B requires Runners to have 4 insulated bags or coolers for batched H-E-B home delivery orders. You can use any insulated bags or coolers you’d like, and can easily pick up insulated bags at H-E-B or online in the Favor Runner Store.
• Arrange separately. It can be helpful to place one customer’s order in the trunk of your car and another customer’s order in the back seat to ensure customers get every item they ordered (and not someone else’s!).
• Provide photos. Confirmation photos are an added measure to help customers verify where an order was left. Showing the address numbers or unique features of the delivery location in a delivery confirmation photo is a great way to provide proof of delivery.
